The main climatic factors influencing the physiological and biochemical processes that take place during the growth, formation, and ripening of grapes are temperature, humidity, and duration of sun exposure. Grape varieties react differently to temperature variations, and in the context of global warming, the possibility of producing quality red wines has expanded to new wine-growing areas in northern Romania. Light is another important factor, especially in red wine production. Humidity and rainfall allow grapes to grow during the summer and accumulate sugars, mineral salts, and acidity in the grape berries. The study attempts to present the influence of these factors throughout 2024 on the quality of red wines from the Rătești vineyard in Satu Mare.
